Asian Bakeries Got the Goods!

Ever since I sampled the light, fluffy breads and treats that I ate daily and fell in love with in Asan, South Korea, I've been a fan of Asian baked goods.

Fortunately for me, there's no shortage of suppliers of such goods in the Flushing, Queens area! After all, I just mentioned the article that was in the Times about Asian bakeries (although, it mostly focuses on Manhattan's Chinatown).

Anyway, here are a few shots I snapped at the Korean owned Canaan Bakery on Union St. at the corner of 41st Ave:

Good Patbingsus (shaved ice)...and only $5.50 (CHEAP!)

This was a blueberry pastry. Not bad but a bit pricey at $4.00.

This tasted like corn bread.
